North Logan City COVID-19 Safety Strategy

  • City Office Services
  • The City Offices are open.  However, due to social distancing measures we are encouraging individuals to use online resources where possible, along with the exterior drop box for payments.
  • The foyer of the City Offices only has a capacity of two people.  So, if the foyer has two individuals at the help desk area, then the next patron(s) will need to wait outside until an individual exits the foyer.  As you enter the foyer, please ensure that you are wearing a mask.
  • For meetings with individual office staff, we are still encouraging you to use email, phones, or digital meetings where possible.  If an in person meeting is necessary, please schedule a time to meet in the conference room where social distancing is possible.
  • Parks:
  • Playgrounds are open.  However, we do not have the capability to clean the playground equipment after each use . Use at your own risk. If you use the playground, wash or sanitize hands before and after use and maintain a 6 foot distance from other users
  • The Meadow View splash pad will open in early June.  However, the Elk Ridge Splash pad will be under reconstruction for the first few months of the summer.
  • All park patrons must practice social distancing (separate households must remain 6’ apart in park)
  • No groups larger than 50 people will be permitted.
  • Reservations are allowed on the fields, but not the facilities (no Mass Gatherings, or groups over 50).  Individuals reserving must sign a waiver when reserving fields.
  • Restrooms will open in the spring.
  • Recreation:
  • North Logan Recreation is operating several programs and events.  However, before a program is implemented, North Logan Rec. submits a COVID-19 safety plan to the Bear River Health Department specific to each program.

Message from the Bear River Health Department

Older adults, 65 years and older, and those who are immunocompromised, are at higher risk for severe illness. As such, we PLEAD with this group to STAY AT HOME. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reported in the US that 8 out of 10 coronavirus deaths have been in adults 65 years old and older. This is the group that are also having higher rates of hospitalization and admission to an intensive care unit. PLEASE let’s protect those we care about. We realize this may lead to fear, anxiety and loneliness so stay connected through phone, email or social media. If we all do our part, we will slow the spread of COVID-19.”
