NORTH LOGAN CITY COUNCIL

The North Logan City Council will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, July 19th in the City Council Chambers (meeting room) at the North Logan Library, 475 East 2500 North, North Logan, Utah beginning at 6:30 p.m.

1. Opening Business:

  • Roll Call, Welcome, and Opening Ceremony
  • Adoption of agenda
  • Approve minutes of previous City Council meeting.
  • Follow-up on issues from previous meetings
  • Review of Action Items List
  • Recognition of Exemplary Staff Member

Current Action Items:

  1. Utah Local Governments Trust presentation of the Trust Accountability Program Award to North Logan City. (Jason Watterson)
  2. Consider approval of the Election Judges for the upcoming Primary Election.
  3. Consider approval of Ironwood Subdivision Concept Plan. The proposed subdivision is located at approximately 300E 2400N.
  4. Consider approval of Rocky Mountain Dermatology Condominium Conversion/Plat at 1760N 200E, North Logan. (Robert Young).
  5. Consider the approval of the list of items to be declared as surplus by North Logan City.
  6. Consider nomination of Alan Luce to serve on the Regional Wastewater Treatment Rate Committee.

City Council Work Session Items:

  1. Update on the status of the Sugar Plum Subdivision, located in Logan City, and their request for connection to the North Logan City sewer system.
  2. Discussion of Sewer Rate increases that will take place in the coming weeks.
  3. Update from City Center Task Force.
  4. Reports from city officers, boards, and committees.
  5. Executive Session (Closed) to discuss litigation, potential real estate acquisitions, personnel issues.

The order in which items are discussed during this meeting is subject to change throughout the meeting. Persons interested in attending the meeting for specific items should plan to be in attendance at the beginning of the meeting. Any public hearings on the agenda will be no sooner than the time specified but may be later.

NORTH LOGAN PLANNING COMMISSION

- PUBLIC HEARINGS on JULY 20, 2017 -

The North Logan Planning Commission hereby announces two public hearings to be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 in the Meeting Room of the North Logan City Library at 475 East 2500 North, North Logan, UT.

6:35 p.m. Public Hearing to receive public input on a proposed rezone of approximately 8.95 acres parcel 04-084-0018, a residential single-family estate (RE-1) zoned property to R-2-12 (minimum 12,000 sq. ft. lots) zoning and to rezone approximately 1.79 acres of same parcel 04-084-0018 from residential single-family estate (RE-1) to residential-multi-family (RM) RM-Two Family Residence, so as to allow for a proposed development at approximately 2000 North, east side of 600 East extending to 800 East. The Planning Commission may consider making a recommendation on this rezone following the public hearing.

The proposed rezone can be reviewed at the North Logan City Office (2076 N 1200 E) or by CLICKING HERE.

6:40 p.m. Public Hearing to receive public input on an ordinance amending Title 12.D. Land-Use Subdivisions Application Procedures. Adding references throughout this section referring to the new development review process documents that will be implemented. The Planning Commission may consider making a recommendation on this ordinance following the public hearing.

The proposed ordinance can be reviewed at the North Logan City Office (2076 N 1200 E) on or after Monday, July 17th.

Commission Business:

  1. 6:35 p.m. PUBLIC HEARING to receive public input on a proposed rezone of approximately 8.95 acres parcel 04-084-0018, a residential single-family estate (RE-1) zoned property to R-2-12 (minimum 12,000 sq. ft. lots) zoning and to rezone approximately 1.79 acres of same parcel 04-084-0018 from residential single-family estate (RE-1) to residential-multi-family (RM) RM-Two Family Residence, so as to allow for a proposed development at approximately 2000 North, east side of 600 East extending to 800 East.
  2. 6:40 p.m. PUBLIC HEARING to receive public input on an ordinance amending Title 12.D. Land-Use Subdivisions Application Procedures. Adding reference referring to the new development review process documents that will be implemented.
  3. Consideration and recommendation of a Resolution amending the Design Standards Technical Manual of North Logan City by replacing/adding to Chapter 800 - Design Standards Section 815. Egress and Ingress. This requires two access points in a subdivision as certain criteria is met and additional standards to be required.
